La Haute Rivoire is a traditional 18th C Vendeen farmhouse standing in three acres of grounds, less than a mile from fine sandy beaches, dunes, rocky coves and the renowned surfing spots of La Sauzaie / Les Dunes.

The renovation of the farmhouse and some of the former farm buildings, in keeping with the original architectural features, provides comfortable self-catering studios and guest rooms with en-suite facilities.

All our accommodation is for adults only to preserve the tranquil surroundings for the fit-to drop who wish only to relax, chill out beside the pool or muster up enough energy to raise a glass of wine.

For the fit, there are activities galore, miles of cycle trails to explore on mountain bikes, not to mention five golf courses! Thanks to the micro-climate centered on les Sables d’Olonne, Bretignolles enjoys almost as many hours of sunshine as the Cote D’Azur.
